Cooperation Agreement with Modelio (22 Dec)

Infostroy and Modeliosoft (France) have signed a partnership and cooperation agreement with the purpose of mutual marketing of software products developed by both companies. Infostroy now has the right to distribute Modelio Software product, which is one of the best products in the world today for software engineering and modeling. Participation in the 6th annual conference 'Software Development 2010' (CEE-SECR 2010) (11 Oct)

Infostroy will participate in the 6th annual conference “Software Development 2010” (CEE-SECR 2010) that will take place in Moscow starting from the 11th and through to the 15th of October.

“Software Development 2010” (CEE-SECR 2010) is the key software event in Central and Eastern European countries organized since 2005. It is regularly attended by over 500 participants – software and IT people from CEE region – everyone who works in software industry.

At this year’s CEE-SECR conference Infostroy will deliver two regular (oral) presentations that have been selected by an international Program Committee using double-blind peer review process. Presentations “Interactive 3D scene modeling and visualization system” and “Expert system for software source code quality analysis” will be held by the director of Infostroy Ltd. Alexander Lipanov as well as company’s software engineer Roman Grebinnyk and software developer Natalie Vegerina.

Imagine Cup Competition 2010 (05 Apr)

Infostroy is a sponsor of Infostroy Team at the Imagine Cup competition 2010, Poland – The World’s Premier Student Technology Competition. The Infostroy Team is from Kharkov, Ukraine, and consists of the students of the Kharkov National University of Radioelectronics, specializing in Informatics.

For this competition the Infostroy team has designed MyFlora game. MyFlora is an educational game for children of 6-12 years. It allows interactively introducing to children the process of agriculture and cities supply with foodstuff. Bright colorful episodes, ability to select plants to rear, plan cultivated area, pest control, harvesting involve a child into learning and perception of agriculture management process. All players get information not only about plants and their care rules (uploaded directly from Wikipedia), but they also get to know the geography and history of those countries, where they will grow their products.

Players can be situated in any place of the world, as information exchange between them will run through special web server. This helps MyFlora cover a wide range of children worldwide, achieving universal primary education goal. The winner of a game is player who manages to feed his/her city faster than others. Together players solve such an important problem as eradication of extreme hunger and poverty.

The Team are already the winners of the first round completion and have uploaded the latest version for the second tour.

VI Kharkov Open Championship in collegiate programming “Kharkov Open” (14 Mar)

Infostroy sponsored the VI Kharkov Open Championship in collegiate programming “Kharkov Open” that took place on 14th of March, 2010. The Championship was held by Youth scientific society “Q-BIT” with the assistance of the leading institutions of higher education in Kharkov.

The main goal and objectives of the Championship is to popularize scientific knowledge, activate functioning of study groups, special courses, scientific communities, to create optimal and convenient conditions to expose talented and gifted youth, support their mentality and further professional orientation.

It’s not for the first time that Infostroy supports activities like this. For the reason, that it’s exactly these young people, who will join the ranks of companies in IT industry in a few years.
